More Men Than You Think.
After 30, testosterone drops an average of 1–2% per year. Many men suffer symptoms for years before getting a diagnosis. Do any of these sound familiar?
- Chronic fatigue — low energy even after a full night’s sleep
- Reduced muscle mass — harder to build, easier to lose
- Increased body fat — especially around the midsection
- Low libido — decreased sexual desire or performance
- Brain fog — difficulty focusing, poor memory, mental sluggishness
- Mood changes — irritability, low motivation, mild depression
- Poor sleep quality — trouble falling or staying asleep
Real men. Real results. These are the kinds of body composition and strength changes our TRT patients experience.

Individual results may vary. Photos shared with patient consent. Results reflect a combination of TRT, nutrition, and exercise.

TRT and Depression: How Testosterone Therapy Affects Mood
How to Feel This Way.
Testosterone Replacement Therapy doesn’t introduce a foreign substance — it restores your body’s own primary androgen to the levels it maintained in your prime. When levels are clinically low, every system suffers: metabolism slows, muscle breaks down, cognition dulls, and mood drops. TRT reverses these cascading effects by restoring the hormonal foundation your body runs on.
Low testosterone is clinically associated with depressive symptoms including fatigue, irritability, and reduced motivation. Multiple peer-reviewed studies show that TRT can meaningfully improve mood and energy in men with confirmed hypogonadism. Your physician will evaluate whether low T is a contributing factor during your initial consultation.
Testosterone binds to androgen receptors in muscle tissue, directly stimulating protein synthesis and muscle growth.
Improved insulin sensitivity and lipolysis reduce visceral fat accumulation — especially around the abdomen.
Testosterone supports dopamine signaling, cognitive clarity, and emotional regulation — reducing brain fog and low mood.
Your physician monitors your progress throughout your program, including regular hematocrit checks, since elevated red blood cell count is the most common lab finding in TRT patients. If hematocrit rises above the optimal range, your doctor may adjust your dose, frequency, or protocol to bring it back in range safely.

Weeks 3–6: Sleep & Libido
Deep sleep quality improves and libido begins to return as testosterone levels normalize and stabilize in the bloodstream.2
Month 2–3: Body Composition
With consistent therapy and movement, fat mass begins to decrease and lean muscle starts to develop more readily than before treatment.3
Month 3–6: Strength & Performance
Sustained muscle gains, sharper mental performance, and a measurable improvement in overall physical and sexual health reach full stride.4

Frequently Asked Questions
Our TRT program is a flat $199/mo — all-inclusive. That covers your prescription, physician oversight, lab work review, and shipping. Unlike TRT clinics that charge separately for office visits, injections, and labs, there are no hidden fees at Precision Telemed. Cancel anytime, no contracts.
We prescribe Testosterone Cypionate or Testosterone Enanthate — the two most widely used, clinically validated injectable testosterone esters. Your physician will determine the appropriate compound and dosing protocol based on your labs and health goals. All medications are sourced from licensed 503A compounding pharmacies.
No in-person visits required. Your initial consultation and all follow-ups happen online. We do require a recent testosterone panel (bloodwork) before prescribing — you can use recent results you already have, or we can guide you to a local lab for a quick draw. Our physicians review your labs and health history before issuing any prescription.
When properly supervised, TRT is safe and well-tolerated for most men with clinically low testosterone. Common mild side effects include injection site reactions and slight changes in hematocrit (red blood cell count), which are monitored through regular bloodwork. Our physicians tailor dosing to minimize risk and adjust protocols as needed. TRT is not appropriate for men trying to conceive — we discuss this during your consultation. Ref: Calof OM, et al. J Gerontol A Biol Sci Med Sci. 2005;60(11):1451–1457. doi:10.1093/gerona/60.11.1451
Most patients notice improved mood, energy, and well-being within 1–2 weeks. Sleep quality and libido typically improve by weeks 3–6. Body composition changes — increased lean muscle and reduced body fat — become noticeable by months 2–3, with full optimization typically reached at the 3–6 month mark. Results depend on baseline levels, adherence, and lifestyle factors including diet and exercise. Ref: Snyder PJ, et al. N Engl J Med. 2016;374(7):611–624. doi:10.1056/NEJMoa1506119
No. Precision Telemed operates on a month-to-month basis. There are no subscriptions, no long-term contracts, and no cancellation fees. You can pause or stop at any time. We believe you should continue because you’re seeing results — not because you’re trapped.
TRT can suppress natural sperm production while you are on treatment, but for most men, this effect is reversible. Studies show that sperm production typically recovers within 6 to 18 months after discontinuing TRT, and many men have successfully conceived after stopping treatment. For patients who want to preserve fertility while staying on TRT, your physician may recommend adding HCG or enclomiphene to your protocol, which maintains testicular function alongside testosterone therapy. Your board-certified Precision Telemed physician will review your family planning goals during your consultation and build a protocol designed around them.
Most patients report initial changes in energy and mood within 3 to 6 weeks. Improvements in libido typically follow at 4 to 8 weeks. Body composition changes, including reduced fat and increased lean mass, generally become noticeable at 3 to 6 months of consistent treatment. Individual timelines vary based on baseline testosterone levels, protocol, and lifestyle factors. Your Precision Telemed physician will track your progress through lab work and check-ins throughout your program.
TRT can contribute to sleep apnea in some patients, particularly those with pre-existing risk factors such as obesity, large neck circumference, or a history of the condition. This is a known and manageable consideration. Your Precision Telemed physician will review your sleep health history during your intake assessment. Patients with diagnosed sleep apnea are not automatically excluded from TRT: your doctor will weigh the risks and benefits and monitor accordingly.
